FAVORITE QUOTE?

“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.” —Aadil Palkhivala

WHY YOGA?

Practicing yoga makes me feel grounded and elevated, but it goes beyond the mat too. For me yoga really is a lifestyle based on holistic wellbeing—from how I move to how I eat, to the way I look at the world and people around me.

STYLE OF TEACHING?

Creative, flowey sequences focusing on alignment, breath, and proper muscle engagement.

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPIEST?

Being in nature, and spending time with close friends. And of course practicing yoga.

FAVORITE QUOTE?

“When we have learned how to listen to trees, then the brevity and the quickness and the childlike hastiness of our thoughts achieve an incomparable joy. Whoever has learned how to listen to trees no longer wants to be a tree. He wants to be nothing except what he is. That is home. That is happiness.” —Hermann Hesse

About

I have always been an active person and initially explored yoga as a way to stay in shape between sports seasons and gain more muscle awareness and mobility, but after a few hot power classes I started to realize that it was not only helping me tone and tune into my body but in doing so it was also helping to calm my mind, and really helped my ADHD.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Brain Science, I hit a rough patch in my life and yoga became a form of therapy for me. I would walk into the studio feeling one way and walk out with perspective, confidence, and love as my guiding emotion. Feeling lost in every other area of my life and struggling to find what I should do next, dedicating my time to yoga was the only thing that made sense. I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at La Casa Shambala (RYS) in Thailand, where I was inspired by the culture and the nature around me. My classes are vinyasa inspired, often focusing on mindful movement and muscle activation. As a teacher, It’s an honor to share the gift of yoga with others and I hope to empower my students through this practice of wholistic wellbeing.
